April is Second Chance Month. And for me, that’s personal.

“I know what it means to live without a second chance. I’ve been homeless. I’ve been incarcerated. I’ve slept in a cardboard box on Skid Row and sat in jail cells feeling forgotten.

But I also know what it means to get up and get help.
To be given a real second chance—and to take it.

That second chance didn’t just change my life. It lit a fire in me to help others find theirs too.

This month, I’m reflecting on what second chances really mean…
