One of the pivotal factors in people’s ability to stabilize their lives and get on the road to recovery is having a place to call home. This is why CCM seeks to address the needs of our neighbors with a Housing First approach.
Housing First is an approach to prevent chronic homelessness by focusing on providing interim ICMS (Intensive Case Management Services) and permanent supported housing to our neighbors. With the stability of basic necessities being taken care of, like food and a place to live, we’re able to offer various programs to engage clients while creating an atmosphere of trust where opportunities for life changing recovery can occur.
CCM operates 12 houses, each with a capacity of 20 clients each, on rotation throughout the year. That’s a maximum of 240 clients at one time. Since it’s launch in September of 2017, CCM’s housing program has supported over 712 clients and counting.
For all of the new neighbors we welcome into our program, we’re dedicated to providing dignity, compassion, and respect for each person’s journey in life. While with us, our neighbors in need are able to receive quality mental health treatment and other therapeutic services so they can become independent and productive members of the community once again.
